There are a lot of places that will be coming to your mind when you’re making plans to visit Vegas, I will curate them and save you the time and the boringness of having to go through searching. These places will be fun, beautiful, photogenic, and among the top tourist attractions in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is one city that sees tourists trouping in their numbers every day. There’s a lot to see and a lot to do. But without a guide, you may end up not doing a lot. This post will serve as your guide to visiting Las Vegas in 2024.
I will compile a list of interesting places to see in Las Vegas and I am sure, you are going to leave a 5-star rating after you most have gone through this post and visited the places I mentioned. 1. The Welcome To Las Vegas Neon Sign
This should be the first place to welcome you to Las Vegas. You don’t need to settle down before you go here for some pictures and sightseeing, except if you fly into Las Vegas, or the road you follow does not lead through this place. This Neon sign has been greeting visitors since the 1950s and it is Dope to be one of the most popular signs in Las Vegas. Will you want to miss out on a place that has served as a tourism hotspot for 74 years and still counting?
The first place that comes to mind for most tourists is this sign. It is iconic as well as very old!
The place can be very busy and you will have to wait in line to get a decent picture. But if you do, it will be worth it. I will advise you to go as early as possible in the morning in order not to be in a long queue, but if you can’t beat it, you can still have the best of time and have some fun visiting this place. One fun fact, it is free to visit here. Nobody will charge you a dime except for the taxi and all other services you may want of course.
The Las Vegas sign is open 24/7 and is a free attraction. It’s very close to a bus stop accessible by the Deuce line.
2. The Seven Magic Mountains
The Seven Magic Mountains was opened in 2016. Initially, it was meant to be something temporary and it will be dismantled later but it outgrew that and became one of the most popular photogenic scenes for tourists in Las Vegas.
The seven magic mountains are just stones put on each other to a height but the colouring and magical pictures that it produces just kept people coming! If you want to have that experience and document it as a picture or you are just picturesque and would love to add a picture from this place to your collection, you should visit.
It’s just a 30-minute drive from the Vegas Strip. The colorful boulders look stunning in photographs and strikingly contrast the desert in the background.
Visit during the day for the best views. And don’t forget to bring SPF because the desert sun is no joke.
3. Visit and Dine at a Celebrity Restaurant
The choice is endless to choose from since you’re in Vegas which is the celebrity hub. Gordon Ramsey, Guy Fieri, and even Martha Stewart have restaurants on Las Vegas Boulevard where you can often get a table without needing to apply for a reservation. If you need another high-end dinner, there are plenty to choose from.
Whether you’re in the mood for seafood or barbecue, several restaurants in Vegas will cater to all your needs.
4. Tour The Eldorado Canyon Mine
There’s a ghost town 45 minutes east of Vegas that you can explore. This ghost town was a result of the miners moving out of the town when the mine was closed down. The town still stands to this day and it has become a tourist attraction gulping in visitors around the world. If you are in Vegas, you will want to explore and see for yourself what a ghost town looks like and get that apocalyptic feeling.
Before the town was known as Nelson it was known as the Eldorado for its gold deposits, most of them in the Techatticup Mine. The town was blossoming until a flood that happened in 1974 killing 9 people. The remains of the town are still there for people to come and explore. You should give it a try.
5. Tour The Wedding Chapels
Vegas has been known as a popular destination for weddings. One of the popular chapels where these weddings take place is the Vegas wedding chapel and get wedded by Elvis. You can imagine there’s a celebrity wedding pastor in Vegas!
The Vegas wedding chapel has become popular over the years and now, it draws tourists! It doesn’t matter whether you are getting married or not. People visit this superb already dressed chapel waiting for brides as a form of tourism. Why can’t you too? 6. The Famous Las Vegas Strip
If there’s no Las Vegas Strip, there’s no Las Vegas! What is visiting Las Vegas without visiting the strip?! That is not even imaginable. Las Vegas strip is home to the Vegas casinos, Hotels, bars, restaurants, casinos, and concert venues. 4-mile stretch of the best entertainment venues from around the world is located here, in fact, many call this the entertainment headquarters of the world.
If you’re visiting Vegas, definitely you should visit this stretch and experience the Vegas life. It takes an hour and a half for you to walk this stretch on foot but you can catch the Vegas Deuce bus. For me, I love experiences like this to be taken slow. I will advise you to take your time and walk the length but if you do not have the time, you can take the bus. This will be the best time you will have and marvel at the architectural designs that were put in place in Vegas.
7. Hiking At Red Rock Canyon
Go out into the wild and experience the Vegas Red Rock Canyon. Very visible on the Vegas strip are the red rocks, popularly known for the rock formations and how high they are.
Hiking, biking, and rock climbing are the most popular things to do at Red Rock Canyon. Horseback riding is also a great way to have fun at the park. There’s a guided tour as well as and helicopter ride tour at the canyon. Depends on what you like to do, you can have it all though. Your pocket will feel it sha. 8. The Mob Museum
This is something very interesting to do. Tell Me, the twist, the mob museum is a house in the city’s former courthouse, and in it is kept the information on organized crime and policing in the United States. Learn about the prohibition and its impact on mob operations, see the actual brick wall from the Saint Valentine’s Day Massacre, and stand inside a room lined with dollar bills from floor to ceiling. There’s a lot you will learn about the history of crimes within the United States.
The Mob Museum is open from 9 AM until 9 PM and the tickets are sold for $22.95, it takes about 2-4 hours to tour everything and the experience is worth it as you will be walking within a scene or the actual gadgets used during the investigation that led to the arrest and sometimes, the exhibit that was gotten from the arrest. 9. Tour The Hollywood Cars Museum
The Hollywood Car Museum is another place to visit while in Las Vegas. It is not as popular as other places we have shown you in this post so it does not have as many visitors as them. But one thing is certain if you are a movie lover or a car freak, there are collections of Hollywood old-school movies and some amazing car collections. You will be surprised by the kind of fun this place will give you.
If you like that kind of quiet fun, this is where you should be thinking of visiting while in Vegas. See the vehicles featured on Fast and Furious, the Delorean from Back to the Future, and a 40-foot hot pink limo with a hot tub in the back. Amazing stuff!
The museum is open from 10 AM until 5 PM. It takes up to an hour to tour the entire exhibit and the entrance fee is $20. Go and have some fun!
10 The Gold & Silver Pawn Shop
What’s a vacation without souvenirs? That’s why I am showing you where you can get the best souvenirs for your loved ones while on vacation in Vegas. They sell everything from stickers and postcards to Picasso’s original artworks so you May not know what you can get from a pawn shop. Shopping there for souvenirs may sound unorthodox but you can have fun doing it. You can also find Hollywood cameras from way back and some great finds such as the jacket Val Kilmer wore in Top Gun.
There’s a lot you can find while shopping at a pawn shop in Vegas. The shops are open from 10 AM to 5:30 PM. Have fun shopping!
11. The Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Vegas is a desert and doesn’t have a lot of trees like that. But when you’re in the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens, you will instantly forget that you’re in a desert. The plant life flourishes here. From flowers to trees and beautification plants. All this is what you will be walking into. The garden is open 24/7 and has a lot for you to see. 12. Bet It All On Red (Or Black)
Las Vegas didn’t shy away from the fact that gambling flourished here. If you’re here, you should try it. Maybe this has been on your bucket list for a while, walk into a casino and bet it all on red or black. Millions of people come to Vegas yearly, for one thing, to gamble! If you are here, maybe it is time for you to try that one luck that everyone has, bet on something and you may just be lucky and have some more money to enjoy your stay in Vegas.
Casinos in Las Vegas are open 24/7 and have a minimal buy-in of $5, usually for blackjack. Good luck as you give it a try.
13. Neon Museum Las Vegas
This is the kind of place that can be found in only one place in the world, Las Vegas. What started as a junkyard for storing expired or retired Neon signage from around town has now turned out to be a massive tourism center in the ever-bustling city of Las Vegas NV.
It grows in popularity every year and night in and out, day in and out, selling out tickets for tourists. Most times, you’ll have to book ahead of your visit to reserve a spot. Neon Museum has grown to become one of the most interesting places to visit while visiting Las Vegas NV. More than 200 rescued neon sign pieces from 200+ Las Vegas properties sprawl across the nearly two-acre Neon Boneyard.
