Infinix has recently launched its latest budget 5G smartphone, the Hot 30 5G. Here’s my detailed review of the device after testing it out:
Display
The 6.78-inch IPS LCD has an FHD+ resolution and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. The screen provides decently vibrant colors and gets bright enough outdoors.
Design and Build
With a plastic build, the phone weighs 215g which feels a bit bulky. Ergonomics are average due to its tall body. Available in Knight Black and Aurora Blue colors, the dual-tone design looks good.
Performance
Powered by Mediatek’s Dimensity 6020 chipset, the device handles day-to-day tasks without any issues. Gaming performance is average as slight stutters were noticed. Comes in 4GB/8GB RAM variants for smooth multitasking.
Cameras
The rear 50MP main camera clicks nice shots in good lighting with good details. The 8MP selfie shooter is sufficient for video calls/selfies. Video quality is average capped at 1080p30fps.
Software and Features
Comes with Android 13-based XOS 13 skin which provides a clean interface without bloatware. Provides plenty of customization options. The side-mounted fingerprint sensor is fast.
Battery Life
The 5000mAh battery easily lasts over a day of moderate usage. 18W fast charging takes around 2 hours to fully charge the phone which is average.
Storage and Price
The 4GB+128GB variant offers good value as a budget 5G option in India.
Overall, the Hot 30 5G provides good performance for basic usage at an affordable price point with 5G connectivity.
