Infinix is set to launch an upgraded Hot 40 model – here’s what we can expect from the Hot 40S:
Design and Display
Like the Hot 40i, the 40S will likely sport a 6.56-inch HD+ IPS LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate. Expect a similar ergonomic plastic body design.
Hardware and Performance
The 40S may use an upgraded Helio G37 or G57 chip along with 4/6GB RAM for snappier everyday performance compared to the T606 in the 40i.
Cameras
A higher resolution 50MP or even 64MP main camera could feature compared to the 40i’s 50MP shooter. The selfie camera may also see an upgrade.
Software and Features
XOS based on Android 13 will provide the UI/UX. Battery capacity may be increased slightly from 5000mAh. 18W charging is expected to remain.
Price and Availability
Considering upgrades, the 40S may be priced $50-100 higher than the 40i starting price of $150. Value-for-money budget specs are expected.
If Infinix optimizes performance while keeping the price hike low, the Hot 40S has the potential to be a notable budget buy when it launches in early 2024. Faster performance in a similar form factor will appeal to cost-conscious users.
